The solo show
Merilyn's solo show is a regular at Sydney clubs, with Merilyn singing and playing acoustic or electric guitar. A typical night starts with singalong songs over dinner and moves into the dancing ones later, and she picks the songs to suit the room, whatever the age of the crowd.
The show is fully self contained. She brings her own Bose PA system and lighting and carries public liability insurance, so the venue doesn't need to organise sound.
Her set runs from the 70s to today: the retro songs everyone knows, alongside artists like George Ezra, Amy Shark, Bernard Fanning, Adele, Alanis Morissette and Taylor Swift.
Clubs where she's played solo this year include Kogarah Clubhouse, Carlingford Bowling Club, Brighton RSL and Kingsgrove RSL.
